Christmastime is Here

Josh is the best ever, and he got the blog back up and running! Thank you, Honey!

We have had a busy month of November, but it has been very fun! The morning after Halloween (very early), we flew to LA for a Monson family trip to Disneyland! The kids had so much fun, and got so tired! So did the parents!

Carter's favorite ride was the fish carousel in California Adventure. He would cry whenever we got off. As such we rode it quite a few times.

After Disneyland, we came home, slept in our own beds one night, then went to “babysit” my 17 year old sister, Mary, while my parents were in Florida for a conference. We had tons of fun!

We had one more-normal week, and then we started preparing for Thanksgiving. Also, here are some pictures of the kids. They are cute!

Fay loves dressing up as Minnie Mouse! Josh's mom gave her the cute Minnie Dress, and we couldn't resist getting her the matching ears at Disneyland. Then we discovered that we had matching polka-dot shoes, and now, if the dress is clean Fay is Minnie Mouse! (And she makes sure you call her that, too!)

(That is her cousin, Harry, in the background.)

This is Carter in a box with one of the things he loves right now--money! He will play with coins forever. The other things he loves are fish and balls.

About two weeks after completing the project that had consumed all his spare-time thoughts since July (Halloween), Josh stumbled upon another project. LED lights that are easily programmable for each holiday. He has designed them for my parents’ house; but if we can ever get them to work perfectly, they will be on our house, and probably several others. They are really cool!

I would explain more about this picture, but it would probably be all wrong. So just enjoy looking at the cool setup Josh has!

And just as Josh has his little projects, I have mine (though they are on a MUCH smaller scale, and are not quite as impressive.

Christmas looks GOOD on our mantel! Fay hung up the stockings with help from Josh.

Christmas looks GOOD on our mantel! Fay put up the stockings (with some help from Josh), and we all decorated the tree (Carter can't get enough of the "balls" on the tree)! I did the mantel (I think I want to add one more thing to it...) We moved the loveseat from the family room to the living room because we needed a place to look at the tree, and it definitely makes the room feel more cozy and complete.

This is a picture of the whole front room, with some people for added excitement!
